Stud Services
Capital Alpaca offers access to an outstanding selection of elite stud males, chosen for their proven genetics, fleece excellence, and strong conformation. Our breeding programme is designed to help fellow breeders introduce valuable traits into their herds and produce the next generation of high-quality alpacas.

Educational Courses
Capital Alpaca supports the wider alpaca community through a range of British Alpaca Society (BAS) affiliated training courses, tailored to both new alpaca owners and established breeders. Alongside official BAS modules covering alpaca husbandry, fibre, and breeding, we provide specialist education in the use of Skin Imprint technology. This scientifically advanced, non-invasive system offers accurate insight into follicle density and fleece characteristics, and our training shows breeders how to effectively integrate Skin Imprint results into their breeding strategies to support informed decision-making and long-term herd improvement.

Capital Alpaca regularly have a selection of friendly, well-handled alpacas available for sale, making them a wonderful addition to both new and established herds. Capital Alpaca takes pride in commitment to quality, education, and ongoing support—delivering exceptional breeding experiences and long-term success for clients.

Capital Alpaca incorporates Skin Imprint technology into their breeding and selection processes, a revolutionary and scientifically advanced method for measuring fleece quality and density. Developed by alpaca breeder Caroline Barugh, and co-owned by Capital Alpaca's Kim Murray, Skin Imprint is a game-changing, non-invasive testing system compared to a traditional skin biopsy, that provides unparalleled accuracy and insight. This innovative technology allows you to assess true follicle density directly at the skin level, delivering precise, reliable data that supports informed breeding decisions and consistently superior outcomes.
